JCI 3rd Annual Customer Appreciation Bike Run & Antique/Classic Bike Show
JCI’s 3rd Annual Customer Appreciation Bike Run and Classic/Antique Bike Show was held Saturday, September 22, 2007. We had our largest turnout yet with 81 riders! All of us at JCI thank the riders and employee volunteers who helped make this year’s event a lot of fun and a great success.
We had beautiful weather in the lower 80’s with lots of sun and a gentle breeze – perfect cruising weather!
This year a roll of the dice at departure, two stops along the route and back at home base won prizes for lowest and highest rolls. Winners received $200 for highest and $100 for lowest. We had door prices of Chiefs tickets, “Night Out on the Town” and Gift Certificates to restaurants like Dave & Busters and Hooters. Also, we had plaques for “Longest Distance” traveled to get to the Bike Run and “Wildest Paint Job”.
Again this year we had free donuts and drinks to get everyone started for the day and lunch of burgers, bratwurst and chicken hot off the grill were provided for lunch. We had two message chairs for anyone with sore muscles or just in need of shoulder and back therapy.
We collected $270.00 for Debbi Allen who is still recovering from her accident and $237.00 for Hope House, a charity that benefits battered women and families. Thank you to everyone for helping give back to our friends and community.
